Wow! Thats kinda neat thanks for the pix. I have never seen a stone set like that, so solid. Wonder if it isn't real. Have you taken it to a good jeweler and asked his opinion? The color of the metal reminds me of copper or a silver alloy

Haven't taken it anywhere yet but since it's marked Germany and not east or west it's definitely pre World War 2 and probably early 1900 like the rest of the items there maybe even the late 1800

Wow, its even marked Germany.....Yes could be from any time pre war. I have some silver US coins from the early 1900's I found in a forgotton corner of my sisters house when she passed away that are the same color as your ring. The coins are pure silver

Think so huh? Today i did a couple of hours of detecting and found one rock, then under the rock a pipe! Next week i am going to take a couple of days and go to a place were there used to be a city until about 1900. An old high school buddy had a claim there that supported his family during the depression. When a teenager i could always find a color there so next week i will find out if the GAT gold will live up to its name.

WW1 Really?

I was thinking the dates given by the OP Late 1800's

You may well be right but I thought the Great Seal was in use by World War 1.???

I believe that is correct.....it's an Indian Wars era button, and the great seal is post 1902/WWI
