Found this crock wear in an old dump site. Does anyone know what it is ?

Sure is a cool piece. It has the top of a butter churn. Is that two holes on the side? Nice find. Maybe it is a home made lantern.

Is there a hole on the side of it? Almost looks like an old ceramic foot warmer.

Very unique whatever it is. I would go with it being a cork-top thermos.
