E-Trac VS. Se Pro...???

I'm going to throw my two cents in here ...........i will hunt along someone with a e-teck and I'll use my old explorer XS and show and prove you will wont ever miss anything with the old XS .......it was way ahead of its time and nothing out there new will beat it .......just my thought here guys ........pine out

Give people time to learn the E-TRAC as well as you know your XS and that might be a tough statement to uphold. I want to see what people find when they start digging the E-TRAC's iffy signals ;-)

I'm glad to see I'm not the only guy still detecting with the XS !
Hey I've been considering getting the new E-trac also, mostly because I've never felt that I've fully understood the best ways to operate my XS - in spite of finding some good and deep stuff. I've tried various settings I've read about online but always feel like I'm missing targets from misinterpreting sounds/signals.

If the E-trac will be just as complex (or more) and take a long time to learn what it is telling me, then it may be no point to getting it unless it's easier, faster to learn, deeper finding, and better pinpointing. Some of which people have said it is...

Maybe I just need someone to advise what settings they have had the best luck using for coins - and sometimes relics. If you could email or msg me any suggestions you XS users might have I would greatly appreciate it. Maybe I don't need to buy a newer machine if I get this one programmed better.

I am told the pinpoint is now a crosshair that brings you right in over the target, and also it is a lot lighter than the SE.

Good Luck,
Mark

I say save the money and buy a Sunray Probe with the money you'll save by buying an XS or II. I'm with Iron Patch on the XS all the way. I have the XS and II and I like the XS better. Sounds and behaves better. I do like what I see and hear about the Pro Coil..........but I will wait until they make one in a smaller size........like the 8" coils. Here a stock size coil does not do well.
