Hello All !
Got out to my new area today, It's been pretty good to me.
First day copper, 2nd day Silver,
Third Day, a 1850-60 'Scovills Co Waterbury' 20 mm Artillery.
Next comes Gold :icon_scratch:
Tice AY215A61.
Most of the military buttons I've found are Artillery :dontknow: Eagles & Cannons.
When I dug it the A was pretty clear, should have left it as found, after Hot Peroxide, only a shadow of the Right side of A remains :'(
Most of the other detail is good :hello2:
Also got a buckle with some age.
An old style brass padlock.
The pair of brass hardware may have held a nautical instrument, wearmarks show
that something swiveled between them, possibly in the glass piece from the same hole. (compass/chonometer?).
and another flatware handle similar to yesterdays RX find.
A pic of the yellow clay substrate here, Buckle on pile.
Thanks for looking & HH to all!

Nice eagle button! Love to dig them :)

Very nice finds there Herbie. You are onto a Union Artillery Officer's home. There may be a plate and other nice buttons there. Good luck and HH, Quindy.
