Got out for some digs, 22' and high winds, BRRRRR.
High hopes when my first signal yeilds a pewter button,
Turns out my best find is some sort of paper roll dispenser, pewter & brass,
one end cap missing.
also a toasted copper, no detail but very large.
speaking of size, I dug another hubcap, far from any road :dontknow:
This one is chevy bowtie, about 6" diameter.
Oh well, maybe try again today.
Thanks for Looking & happy Hunting

For a minute there I thought you were going to show us a field of corn stalks!

Pretty cool find...and the hub cap too.
Looks like you found a door bell as well. Have you checked out the address info on the brass tags to see if the family is still around the area?

First toilet paper thingy I have ever seen. Pretty marble and chevy cap as well. If the warm up continues I'll be out soon. Going to be 63 by Friday. The snow will be gone by then..................but may return. However, we made it through the toughest part of winter. We can look back now with s sigh of relief

Didn't pay attention enough but George Bamberger ??? Is that your home town in NH? If so I bet someone is till around ::)

Still at it huh ? I'm truly amazed that a NH neighbor has managed to get out detecting off and on all Winter long especially since this has been one of the worst Winters we've had in awhile. The dispenser is cool but way too small for TP. I'm thinking stamps. They used to come on a roll back in the old days.

I find myself too staring out the windo hoping for spring to arrive soon, most of my hunts are still under lots of snow,I have thought about heading to the beaches but still too cold for me.Caught a lucky break the other day though, the wife dropped her change in the snowbank,I rushed out to find it for her.It took all of 30 seconds for me to find it.i even had one of my boys dig in the snow for me.

Hey Herbie ! Cold day to be out there ! Kudos to you ! What is the diameter of that large copper ?? MaineRelic

You are a trooper Herbie. What are you going to find next? Nice saves, Quindy.

to get out.Probably in march!.................K.KID.

Good looking old digs, I'd be happy with that! :coffee2:

Thanks All!
just joking about the toilet paper :laughing7:
the slot where paper would exit is about 2", stamps, reciepts :dontknow:
The 'Coin' is 48 mm, the size matches an
18th century swedish 1 ore.
The small size of the Chevy hubcap dates it to the '30s.
No reply from the message I left at the only 'Bamberger' # still listed.
Good Day & Great Digs!

Nice assortment of goodies!

My opinion is that t/p thingy is a is a razor strap holder for a barber shop, but that is just my opinion
