East Tx Creek Grubbing

After all the high water recently , I figured there might be a little gravel worth grubbing. No killers but fun in the water.

Nothing wrong with those PW finds. I see a couple sweet points. Wish I could find that material here.

We do use small hand screens sometimes and had one along this time but the gravel bar was thick so I just sat down in the water wearing disposable cotton gloves. Scoop up a double handfull, swish the sand out, and look the gravel. Chunk of on the bank and repeat....thousands of times.

Without the cotton gloves, you will wear the skin off your fingers doing it that way.
