About 45 years ago a friend and is family had many chickens and one day they found a huge egg that was three different shades. They also notice one hen was bloody on the back end. They decided that it took the poor hen three days to pass this particular egg. They thought for sure it would have three yokes but it didn't. Just one. This egg was over three times the size of a normal egg and had a line about a third way down and the shell was a different shade, then again another third way and another shade. They tapped a hole in the side of the shell to get the egg out and kept the shell. Oddest chicken egg I've ever encountered.
