Ebay Listing Accountability Thread

Ok, after a LONG day of going through junk and putting lots in storage I might end up with one junk drawer lot...maybe. A ton of crap, I won't even try to sell. But after some of the family went through the jewelry I went through it and what they thought was junk jewelry most is sterling and at least one gold ring! Will see what the family wants to do with those. I guess it's safe to say you'll be relisting the toy lots

I'am getting ready to have my pick in a small junk yard. Strip it, sell it....no money down! I hope to be able to have something to post here, in this thread!
Wait....:laughing7:

Yeah DieselRam, probably so. I sent the buyers a last chance message, I'll go ahead and open a case probably this afternoon. That's too bad about that stuff. Maybe the one lot will go big.

Viking, let us know. Is it older stuff?

I bought a pile of sterling yesterday at the estate sale. I haven't done final calculations but am into it for somewhere around 70% of melt. Not bad for a quick flip. Some will go on ebay & the rest will be shipped to the refiner Monday.

I didn't get around to accepting the two offers I had until yesterday evening. Seems to have worked out pretty well. One guy pulled his 1st offer & made a 2nd offer that was higher.

Good for you trdhrdr007. That's funny on the counteroffer.

DieselRam, there is a thread in the garage sale forum about auto parts buying. You may check it out and put in some of your advice to the guy. I tried to help him, but I was limited to the older stuff. He had an interesting idea. An auto parts sub forum on here. Wouldn't that be pretty neat?

It is anything that shows up in the junkyard, so ebay sold listings will be my guide.

I'll check it out. The auto parts sub forum would be pretty cool. It would be an awesome guide for everyone to know what to pick for sure.

Is it a friends junk yard?

Yeah, I think that would be neat to see what everyone else is finding. One toy buyer paid. Maybe the other one will.

22 sales so far this month. Not bad, but about half of where I was last month.

Finally skipped some days with new listings, which was relaxing!

Yes, this month is not the same as last. But happy for every sale.

Would it gain enough interest to warrant it's own forum?

Is it a friends junk yard?

Yes he is a friend. He just got a 2005 Toyota Tacoma. The dash parts/bezel/switches/visors are worth a couple hundred bucks!
He has a few Rangers also. he buys running cars and trucks.....sometimes for a very good price. He gets stuff for free that people just want out of their yard with minor problems. Fix 'em...sell 'em. My wife might smack me if I bring home anymore....just needs a little tlc.....projects :laughing7:

I've sold 52 items in the last 30 days. Averaged just under $50 per item. I do have 2 non paying customers that I opened a case against though, including that Chief Paints sign- http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/g...lymouth-fury-rental-car-fenton-ornaments.html . It'll be a while before I list any more. Starting a big job at night and don't want to deal with eBay after working 12 hour nights. I do have 10 BIN listings still up though.

I'm at 17 sales for the month. I've got one that sold yesterday that hasn't paid yet. Plan to start on my drafts for the weekend auctions & add some to my BINs tomorrow.

Maybe we should just start a thread for auto parts kind of like the $1 finds thread. DieselRam, after down talking my junk drawer lot it got a bid. :laughing7: We'll see if he pays though.

I'am all for that idea. Garage sales around here in the winter are few and far between, the joy of a small town. 1 or 2 sales on a weekend......At the junk yard today, someone brought in a block of lead! 2500 pounds.

I hope he does pay, unlike your toy buyers. I might do a junk jewelry lot...we just brought home bags of jewelry from that estate. Most is going to be distributed to the family, but there will be some left over that is just costume jewelry...ended up with some new expensive shoes I will be putting up too.

sweeeeeeet!

My neutral finally dropped off. Now I am at all 5.0 stars, all positive feedback. (knock on wood to not jinx it)

2 sales today, not bad... no new listings for 5 or so days now.
Plan on doing some tonight though
