I don't usually post broken finds but I got a kick out of these two.
Just thought I'd share.

Living together in perfect harmony. I do that with pieces that look like they may fit perfect. I think I've slid one or two by on here. Lol!!

it can happen
about 10 years ago we found half of one of the matchbook size flat scoria game pieces with the double X's on it.....
...then 5 years later we found the other half and the fit together so nice that we took a it of alphatic glue on the end of a little nail and put an ever so tiny amount of glue on and put a rubber band
around it for 30 minutes and you could hardly even tell it was ever broke..........
.....now sometimes when one of us finds a broke russy, kelly, or me will say "hey i think i have the other half of that at home"

There was a Clovis point I believe found in two different levels and what struck me when I was seeing pics and reading about it was the patina. It was two different colors. I'll try to find it. It was cool looking.

That's really cool!
That almost tells me that it was collected and curated as we do with artifacts..then it became one again.
Mabey it was taken back to the spot it was found on purpose.
NEAT!

Not this one...this was a archy dig site and was found apparently at two different levels. I found it also it is the Vail Clovis site Maine. Look it up you will see it. Kind of like what your showing above.

Will do... but what I meant was Mabey half of it was found by a native American thousands of years ago..when it was already thousands of years old. Kept for a period of time...Mabey generations then returned to where it was found. Just guessing.

Oh... I get it now.
This was a kill site that they excavated many areas around and found broken fragments of the points used in the kill that had been separated long ago probably from the kill itself and came to rest in different soil deposits.
