Eight ball....corner pocket....

In my early days, I formed a habit of calling my shot First, to learn my machine. Then, sometimes when I get too lazy to "dig em all", I'll do my own discriminations. Knowing full well that I'll be skipping good things too. But, that's what lazy is all about.

Today I was in a place of many trips. I already knew there wouldn't be much finding. So, I was a little more attentive. A good thing!
OMWBTTC, I got two hits very close together, in the same sweep. ( That's one thing I really appreciate about the AT-MAX. It does separation of signals *VERY* well!)

In that sweep, I heard the grumble of iron AND two separate minor hits. The hits were insistent at about 51. Typically, what I call nickle/tab hits. Could have skipped but they were both a little too insistent.

In this place they are almost always pull tabs. Soooo....I made my call "Pull tabs". But, I dug them anyway. The first one? A pull tab. I said, "I might as well get the other one out of the way too."

This was the 2nd hit......

The rest of the day wasn't too shabby either. Even had an old friend show up!

All in all, a very nice Fall day walk!

Well. There was still a silver quarter in the wild. There's the proof positive right there by golly.

BTC hits Have made me almost drag a detector at hunts ends a couple times. Regardless of the results.
My first Indian Head Cent was a couple feet from asphalt I was parked on in a pounded park.
Pounded since the 60's kind of pounded.

Foil is Gold. Tabs are Gold. Lead is Nickle. Nickle is Lead. Or at least the one I don't dig probably is what I think it isn't.
