Ellensburg Blues & Kittitas Arrowhead!

Here are a few of my recent finds in the nw corner of ellensburg,wa.

I am green with envy! Ell Blue is one of my fave stones. My daughter lives in E.WA, & one day we will hit that area. That's the deepest blue I've seen yet!

Gotta agree with mamabear....some of the nicest blues I've seen........congrats on some nice finds...

Thanks! I can't bring myself to sell or cut up any of the stones I've found, but eventually I plan on making some jewelry once I find some more nice pieces. My goal is to have the largest authentic Ellensburg Blue collection someday & share it with my family & friends. I'm pretty sure the arrowhead is jasper, but it's no longer in my possession because I gave it to a friend who collects native american artifacts.

It is also my favorite gem stone as well! If you get a chance to make it to Ellensburg to visit your daughter let me know in advance & we can meet up & see if we can't send you home with a deep blue yourself.

new member...wow...I've not seen agate like that before...so pretty! I find agate & some fire agate here but no blue. Do you know what makes it that color exactly? Thanks for sharing it here.
