Well the clad is rolling in...but here are just my interesting finds from the last week of March. Wheaties, silver, tokens and my first skeleton key!

Nice job on the wheaties and silver tokens! ;D

Good job on the first. I feel you should let us know if it was found with what machine.... ::) ::) :icon_scratch:

The horse pendant and the square "os" charm, along with 3 wheaties were found with the dfx, the rest with the Se. I did use the Se longer though...

Cool. I have found a skeleton key but it must have been iron because it is pretty roached. Your's looks like it's decent.

Nice finds Gregg. I still use my xlpro w/ bigfoot loop for competition hunts...and my cz70pro w/ 12" sunray coil for deep open area hunting. My SE is my first choice...but my xl and cz will always have a home with me

Rae...my arms are sore...getting out and digging alot...still not as comfortable as with the dfx...guess that takes time. I am getting the settings down though...I like recovery setting on fast for now due to trash, starting to push up sens. (kind of like dfx), up to 22, started at 15...would be like moving from 60's into 70's on dfx...do not want it to high because of trash... I started with the sounds set on ferrous, which I seemed to be picking up more nickels in. But I switched to conduct for sounds...seems a little easier to use. I have the pinpointing down... I am digging deeper with the se...but just changed the discrimination pattern on se and found the pendants and skeleton key right away! Odd only one rusty ring though for year.

My clad totals for the year are behind last year...two silver coins, and finally hitting wheaties almost daily now. Two completely different machines...dfx operates faster but does not seem to go anywhere near as deep...the Se seems sometimes to fall a signal behind even when swinging coil slowly...so I recheck each signal...takes a little longer..but I am used to it already...

Also the noise cancel feature which I use before each hunt...much like ground balancing on dfx...but it picks out the channel with least interference...which allows the Se to run surprisingly stable!

Kirk check out my notes to Bootybay (Rae). The dfx seems to work better and faster..in areas like tot lots... Also when I want to work fast and grab clad the dfx handles that well. The Lesche hides in the hole with the se! Deep no problem.... Also the overall design and stability really surprised me...very well put together machine... I enjoy both!

Glad to hear it... I enjoy the differences also... I may add the F-75 to my stable next year! :icon_sunny: But the dfx and se have to pay for the se first...and oh boy they are being worked! Especially the se till I feel comfortable with it...wondering where the rings are with it...otherwise very happy with it...... :)
