English Jetton

Hello all, I managed a few hours on a new permission today and found my first jetton. It dates from 1280-1330ad. Not in to bad condition considering the age!

Never seen one of those before but that is a heck of a lot older than anything I’ve found. Nice going!

Nice a Long Cross imitation type, any English Jetton is much rarer than the German ones we normally get. Nice find in better than average condition - Congrats.

Look forward to seeing more of your finds, although we are just entering the dead season, unless you do grass/pasture?

Thanks crusader, yes I mainly detect field and pasture so plenty to go at! I’ve not long been doing the hobby and I’m completely hooked lol.

OK, we look to this type of land when the crops are in & we have no other choices. But if the pasture was ploughed in the past then it can be a good option. If you need any tips on how to target sites, just shout.

Thanks that is good of you, hopefully going back to a pasture that we finished a while back and I’ve just upgraded my machine so will be good to see if there is any deeper targets we didn’t find!
