So I want to try gold mining. I recently bought an EZ sluice + the flare to go out and play with, but after realizing the amount of material I'm going to need to classify to run through this thing, my mind is drifting towards automating the concentration process (small dredge w/ hardware cloth over the end to keep anything over 1/2" out of the box). Is there any feasible way to turn this into a dredge sluice, or is it just too small? The river in Tx I want to go and try out only has micro gold in it, so getting through pebbles and sand mostly to get at it. Is there an affordable power nozzle I can make and a decent pump that won't overrun this sluice?

Thanks in advance.

Don't waste your time and energy that sluice will not handle the extra flow. I run a 4" proline in Texas and it takes a lot of material run to get any amount of gold down there. Work areas for flood gold and save your pennies and get a dredge.
