Equinox “6 Double D coil?

I recently purchased the 600 with an extra coil. What’s the purpose of the “6 coil. I mean, what is special about it over the standard “11 coil? I’ve seen some say it’s deeper and others swear the bigger, the deeper. Confused.

The small one is good for working sites that have lots of trash close together.
it can separate targets lying close one another.
It will probably not detect as deep as the 11” coil though.

It's also good for working around big metal that can't be moved out of the way, such as playground equipment and fence posts.

Its like a laser beam in the trash, love the 6" coil. Better balance, better in the woods and brush...
