i was doing some searching about equinox discrimination for a possible future purchase, found an interesting video, anyone that has an equinox check it out

It is a whole lot easier to wiggle off in All Metal mode and listen for the grunt on bottlecaps than to go through all those machinations. Besides, non-coin or heavy metal (gold/silver) jewelry targets (e.g., bottle caps, screw caps, aluminum can junk, even pull tabs) tend to have a hollow sounding tone vs. a coin of similar VDI and tone pitch. Or the VDI bounces resulting in a flutey tone. It takes a while to learn the language and requires some hours digging trash for it to click in, but the tone, not the VDI really tells the story.
