Error on Nevada State Quarter?

Ace 250 and Garrett pin pointer. I want a Garrett GTI 2500 or an AT Gold.

This could be some sort of error... part of the E is missing from the word, "STATE". I don't think it's from ware cause the rest of the coin is still in good condition. Also, I don't think someone tried to alter the coin. That letter E is very small and I don't think someone would be able to alter it without messing up the other letters.

That is a result of a partially filled letter on the Die! It could have been debris, grease or both. I have a few of the Nevada State Quarters with clumps of Die Chips around the rear hoofs of the the rear horse and they give you the impression that the horse was taking a crap.

will try to post pics when I get a camera.
Should we hang onto these quarters?

When your talking about the value of a grease filled die error it all comes down to how much of the major elements of the design are affected.
