This is my first post here. I found these gemstones hiding among emerald rough. The only conclusion I have come up with is euclase which is fairly rare. Any ideas?? 2015-03-13 11.04.12.jpg 2015-03-13 10.55.10.jpg 2015-03-12 18.30.22.jpg

Yes I bought emerald rough from a mine. I have been doing this for some time and have never found these before.

Blue apatite possibly? Euclase is usually a much lighter colored blue... You might want to do some research on the specific area you are searching to determine the geological makeup of the area. Anyway, beautiful finds!

If you can perform a specific gravity test, that would be an easy identification because Euclase has a S.G. of right around 3.0.

If those are Euclase crystals; they came from one of two places: Zimbabwe or possibly Columbia. Those are the only two occurrences of Euclase of that color saturation that I'm aware of.

Apatite seems like a reasonable idea to check up on.
