Hit the beach again last night, not as long of a walk this time but was out there for about 7 hours! The tide wasn't off as well in the evening but there were still plenty of tgts to keep us busy. First thing i dug was the giant (2 oz) Egyptian pendant. I hoped it was real, but knew in my heart there was no way it could be...had to NOT get myself excited about it! Saw no marks and when confirming at home I could see it was plated. Ah well...next time eh?
First real gold was the tiny ring. I saw it in the sand in the scoop and when I pulled it out it broke in two. Tiny little thing, rang up as a 1-2 on the Equinox, weighs 0.7 grams and is 10K.
The second was a bit of a lucky pull (ok, aren't they ALL lucky pulls?) My buddy Ricky was just a bit a head of me and waiting a little ways down, taking a break, I was going to just cut back up the beach straight to him but I figured, naw, just stay in the low toward him then turn and go up. Glad I did, 2 steps in that direction and I got a nice solid 14. Dug the tgt and when I saw gold I just started to chuckle as a then walked toward him with it. We both got excited when we saw it had a nice piece of ice in and that it was marked 14K but alas, the ice is a fugazi but the 14 K is real so that's cool!
Dug several other pieces of bling, clad and junk along the way. One of the earrings (with the fake diamonds) is actually silver but plated gold. Rest were all junk but still love digging it all. Great night again, hoping for a repeat again soon but there is not much more time.......dammit....beach renourishment/replenishment begins in two weeks and will cover most all of Va Beach from 1st st to 71st. Had to happen sooner or later.

Best of luck all! Gonna get back out there while there is still some stuff to find!
