Finally located a ghost town that I had been looking for. I didn't have much time to hunt because I spent a few hours locating it, but I did manage to find a boot spur. Everyone always wants to find boot spurs (and six shooters), but very few are ever found. I tried to find the other in the area of this one, but no luck. Weather permitting, I may return tomorrow and put more time into detecting instead of driving around. sorry for the poor pic quality, I was in a bit of a hurry.

That is a great find...d2

Nice!!!
The next hunt will be even better.
Sounds like you did your research.

I try to do as much research as I can. 2 old apple trees cought my attention as a place where someone may stop to take a break & get out of the heat.....they must have taken their spurs off as well.

Yes, everybody does want a spur, me included. I don't think there are any here in Ohio.

Nice, I love it.

Nice find Paul....Bet there is alot more stuff out there. Nice to hunt ghost towns! :)

Very nice find! I'd be happy with that any day. Keep digging!

I can see a decorative pattern on it, but I haven't even rinsed it off yet.

Congrats on a great find. Good luck on your next hunt.

Congrats Paul, and to find one not broken is the other part of the hope :) Beautiful relic for the display case!

A find like that would definitely make me happy. I would be doing the cartwheel happy dance for sure. Great find and great pic. Definitely go back and see what else is there.

Cool find Paul

I've never found one of those before....WTG!!!

Congrats, Paul! A very nice relic...something for a display case as Don states.

Now thats a great find .....a complete spur you don't see that everyday......congrats :o

Yup...that's a nice-looking spur, Paully. :o

That would be great to display somehow. Maybe in a riker frame with an old map of the ghost town in the background. 8)

Fantastic find that.... reminds me of high noon ::) I will be following this topic for more great finds.

God bless
Peter
