expediant flesher or scraper

[larson1951]

i almost walked right past this thing but something told me to pick it up
i think that although this is not a very pretty tool it worked good for the tasks it did and was used for maybe longer than just a few times

You have a good eye. It would not have registered with me as a tool.

Another piece for the "Bone King" your new nickname. So all of the bone tools you find are made from which animal?

i would say the buffalo for these tools, shovels, hoes, etc
then maybe turkey for bone beads and whistles
also some awls were made from deer or elk
one tool we seldom see is made from a grizzly bear mandible (the lower one that articulates from the skull)
