Had to take my car in for service so I took the F2 along and had a great time. Got 4 silver which is my most ever in one hunt and includes my first silver nickel. I also got a bunch of wheaties too. I also found the cool looking button which I know nothing about except that the company is still in business. I sent them the pic, hopefully they can date it, maybe someone here knows something about it? Thanks for looking,
Glenn

Thanks for the nice replies everyone. Got an e-mail from the Mfgr of the button, says they don't keep any history on their merchandise. Suggested a historical website of some kind. Looks like a "What is it" post to me, anyone see Montana Jim around? :happy3:

Very nice job on the silver and wheaties!

Nice finds, I have used my partners F2 and I really like it. It is really easy to use, and the love the way
coins give off a different signal than trash or iron. My partner still hasn't used it, lol, maybe I can
buy it off of him cheap.

Those Mercury dimes are the prettiest silver ever made.

Great digging Glenn!!Were you at a park and how deep was that silver?

Thanks Tom, Silver and the wheats were 3-5", nice upstate picnic area. Very trashy but the F2 is right at home there.

Here's your button... don't retire just yet :) BTW, they still show it on the Waterbury Button website's catalogue.

Thanks Joe, I guess they don't keep track of their current buttons either :icon_scratch:

Thanks MD Dog, Got that posted and some info already, not an oldie though, maybe next time out. I'm liking the buttons more and more. Have to find some good books, local NY stuff for now. Good Luck!

Terrific finds and congrats on finding that silver in the otherwise mundane of getting the car to the garage. The Mercs are nice but it's the button that I like, I guess it's because I'm just a relic guy. I would say it was a very profitable day.
