My f75 is super stable. Even near power lines I can run the sens. up.

Plus you have frequency shift to try. Definitely not an issue to worry about.
 

The F-75 LTD is very stable under heavy power lines...some high powered electric fences do effect the machine.
Vast improvement over my org. F-75 as to EMI.
EMI is not much of a problem with the F-75 with DST or the T2 with DST.

My F75 LTD. Will get chatty if you work around high voltage lines like at one college I have a permit to hunt. Power lines everywhere. I tried everything, change modes, lowered the sensitivity below 29, DE mode with 17 sensitivity was fairly stable. But part of the problem was that I carried my NEL Tornado Coil. Bad mistake. I even know better. The 4" sharpshooter coil would have worked a lot better. But to answer your question. The F75 series can get a little chatty. My At PRO works in that same place with the stock 81/2 X 11 a lot better. The F75 is a great series but just watch where you use it. Just my opinion.

One of the best things that came with the DST software upgrade is that they created a new process FA mode is super fast and great for trashy areas. It's gives up a little depth though. Both FA and the JE process are most susceptible to EMI. The fix is to flip through the 7 freqs to find a quiet one and then reduce the sensitivity. The detector will detect some targets at respectable depths even on zero sensitivity. I have used a 2009 model and had no issues with making it stable even in high EMI areas.

I recommend you watch this video and fast forward to about the 43 minute mark. It will hit a quarter at 8 inches at zero sensitivity.

I can second on this deal. Occasionally I’d have issues with emi but whenever I did I would switch frequency on it and it was just fine. I had a spot I hunted civil war relics that was about 1 mile from a hydroelectric plant and some of my best finds were under those high voltage transmission lines.
 

Awesome, thanks for the reassurance. I plan hitting alot of old home sites and wooded areas, probably would have to deal with some high trash areas. Would this be a good application for the F75?
 

You need to have the right coil for the right site conditions. For deep targets in a target sparse area you might want a larger coil than the stock DD, for trashy areas the 5"DD is awesome and gets crazy depth for it's size. My main coin hunting previously hit permissions is the nel sharpshooter coil.

That is where the F75 should shine. A little slower swing speed and you got a laser pointer. Also with the Emi....I noticed anytime I'm by a cell tower ect where my machine can't be ran wide open just rolling with it for a couple minutes it will calm down too. It's strange but I've noticed it a few times at high EMI locations.
 

Yea, my F75 LTD is the model before FA mode. I still like it a lot. I'm not sure why but mine is really hot on nickels but really good on gold as well. Good luck to all. :thumb_up:
