Fall is coming

It can take its time as far as I'm concerned. Went up towards Heeney today lookin the trees over. Looks like probably another week before fall colors peak out.

They were saying on the Dever news it'll be better for the tree looker's to head up after this week. They report on the best places to go to all the listeners down here. So you'll get your peak colors and a bunch of folks heading up to enjoy them in your area for sure when they get the news. I kinda like the cottonwoods and other foliage when they turn color down here also.

Yeah TR I see Fox 31 talkin about that. That's not a bad crowd that comes up here to look at the foliage, but you do have to watch for them stopping right in the road sometimes. This pic from 3 years ago shows we were a little farther along at this time.

Yessir...they're expecting snow along the Idaho/Montana border next week. That'll put a dent in my mountain prospecting, for sure.

Fall here is 96 degrees today. No rain again this week. It's been tough digging this summer.

Just checked..it's a balmy 36º F. outside at 0530.

Seasons just don't seem to transition anymore...one day it's
Summer, and the next it's 30º colder and the winds blowing
leaves everywhere.

Soon it'll be like the song: "Hello darkness my old friend..why are you here it's 3PM?"

Gorgeous colors here as well; enjoy it because soon it'll just
be cold, wet and nasty out.
