I thought I was done detecting today after the Honey Hole, but I got a call from Scallywags wanting to go this afternoon. The tide was way to high for a beach hunt, so we went to a Farm House that I have permission to hunt on.... I haven't been there in quite some time, it didn't take long to hear the sweet sound of great relics to come to the surface after many moons. These are a couple of the relic digs from this afternoon. Can anyone help me date these puppies? The farm dates back to 1725 or so. I have seen 2 markers one from 1725 & the other 1775... I love the round brass one. It still has the initial of the owner on the face... I also found 2 harmonicas. One seems to be very very old... 1800' S I'm guessing. It's very large. I found a shoe cleat I think, check pictures, I think thats from the 1800's also.I also managed a bent Buffalo Nickel from the site too. What a day in New England... Thanks for looking and enjoy.

Yeah the first one is a rosette. And A beauty at that. Congrats.

HCW, I think that you are in fact correct. Upon better inspection, there is NO catch latch on the side for you to clip it to the hole in the belt... Therefore, it hags from a harness of some type. Thanks for the help. WHYDAH

nice finds!!!!!!!!! MR TUFF

The heel plate seems to be that of around 1860 Civil War time. Solgers Boot ?

Some cool stuff. The piece just above the coins in the last pic is from a saddle. I don't know what it's called though. sorry

Nice Rosette Whydah! :icon_thumleft:

Thanks for all the help Identifying this great find. I have never seen one so large and heavy. The pictures do it NO justice.
