Favorite MD Vehicle?

Light Foot, I know were your coming from! I have an old 72 V.W. Bus. That I like to use. I can put my canoe on top with all gear I need inside. Plus my camp is right with me where I can take a nap when ever I care to in a soft bed. T.V. at night is nice also. Let it rain I'll stay nice and dry. It's fun to drive and it's something I can fix myself if need be.

Bought this in december 2005 four doors to haul the kids and a hemi to hall booty, mine and my finds ;D

Here's mine....
1967 Mercury Monterey - Daily Driver
50,000 original miles, all original interior and original paint. I've gotten some new 18" chrome wheels and tires and tinted the windows since this photo was taken, as well as replacing the fuel, water and power steering pumps and added a stereo. The old AM radio is still intact, the new CD/MP3 is hidden under the dash as are all the speakers.

It may be old and rusty but my 1989 Chevy Suburban with a 6 inch spring lift and front and rear lockers still has my heart. I also had a 71 Toyota Land cruiser that I put a smallblock 350 in and it would go just about anywhere but it had so much power it was on the verge of out of control so I sold it and bought the Suburban. I am on the lookout for a Isuzu Trooper with a diesel or a Toyota Land Cruiser diesel. I am interested in Bio diesel experimentation and as I have told my students there is so much mis-information that the only way I can document anything is prove it myself with my own fuel blends and research. - Starbuck

1995 jeep grand cherokee 4x4, 247,000 miles, still going

---98 Jeep wrangler sahara 4.0, short wheelbase, 4 inch skyjacker lift. Should get me to all the treasures :) (i hope)

Happy Hunting!!!

My best was my 1989 ford f 250 4wd pick up. I had to trade it in on a 06 trail blazer, so I can have more family room. I owned it for 17 years plus, it never had any major problems, just minor ones. (old reliable).

Well, I started out with a '84 Chevy Suburban back in high school... then since my brother had a '86 GMC Suburban, I sold mine to use the money to pay for my brother and I to move to Missouri to attend Bible College and to buy all of the stuff we would need to move up to Missouri (a U-haul pull behind trailer for our Suburban) and live in the dorms; *two of each* (i.e. refrigerators, microwaves, phones, toasters, and other dorm stuff)

Now I've got a '94 Toyota 4-Runner 4WD V-6 with the SR5 package... as does my brother and my mom, except theirs are newer than mine. I think it's one sweet vehicle for off-roading, fishing, camping, and YES metal detecting!!! That's one thing that I used to have with my Suburban that I never thought I'd be able to have again; back seats that fold down! That's the greatest innovation to the SUV community, if you ask me. ;D
I haven't did a whole lot to it just because I'm still in college, but I have managed to do a few small things like get a Flowmaster exhaust put on it, Silverstar turning lights, parking lights, and headlights, and Irridium spark plugs. I also was able to get the brand new Pioneer head-unit the day it came out from Crutchfield.com
I'm still working on finding a proper external hard drive that will work right with the USB cable that runs from the back of the unit... my current Western Digital 2.5" 60Gig drive pulls too much power I think? Anyway, once I find out which hard drive will work properly with it, I'll load it up with every full MP3 album I own and keep it in my glove box!
Here's a few pic's...
