Well, I started out with a '84 Chevy Suburban back in high school... then since my brother had a '86 GMC Suburban, I sold mine to use the money to pay for my brother and I to move to Missouri to attend Bible College and to buy all of the stuff we would need to move up to Missouri (a U-haul pull behind trailer for our Suburban) and live in the dorms; *two of each* (i.e. refrigerators, microwaves, phones, toasters, and other dorm stuff)
Now I've got a '94 Toyota 4-Runner 4WD V-6 with the SR5 package... as does my brother and my mom, except theirs are newer than mine. I think it's one sweet vehicle for off-roading, fishing, camping, and YES metal detecting!!! That's one thing that I used to have with my Suburban that I never thought I'd be able to have again; back seats that fold down! That's the greatest innovation to the SUV community, if you ask me.

I haven't did a whole lot to it just because I'm still in college, but I have managed to do a few small things like get a Flowmaster exhaust put on it, Silverstar turning lights, parking lights, and headlights, and Irridium spark plugs. I also was able to get the brand new Pioneer head-unit the day it came out from Crutchfield.com
I'm still working on finding a proper external hard drive that will work right with the USB cable that runs from the back of the unit... my current Western Digital 2.5" 60Gig drive pulls too much power I think? Anyway, once I find out which hard drive will work properly with it, I'll load it up with every full MP3 album I own and keep it in my glove box!
Here's a few pic's...
