I haven't seen one of those birds since I moved out of Connecticut back in the '60s.
What a beautiful bird !

We have a pair that resides around the property.
True loggers they are when a tree has a bug.

Pepperj is that a sap sucker I have a beautiful magnolia tree with many horizontal rows of holes from them in the bark,I don’t know if there something to do to prevent further damage

We have a few around here in my area. I last saw one about 20 years ago in the higher mountains near here.
