Few hunts throughout the last week

Well was able to get out a few times before the snow came last night. Still might hit some low tide areas today. 1st peice was found at work while putting lime down for a customer. the tip is clear as glass. Next 1 came off an island I paddle to. Wasnt the best idea in 50mph winds. A bit sketchy. Dont know the material but it has a red vein in it. The little triangle was found in the same place. Next is a jasper flake knife. Its hard to see but the edges are excellent. Also went to the bay and checked some tidal areas and found this busted jasper peice. Im guessing brewerton corner notch but if anyone else has an idea let me know. Last one is an adena a little water worn found about 10 ft from where i picked up that gorget a week and a half ago. nice finds. i really like those quartz points, i dont find much of that material around here.

Thanks alot. I like the quartz too when the points are made like this. But we have alot more rough ugly quartz points than good ones. Starting to pick up more jasper one one of my sites. Rhyolite too.

Nice finds. The broken jasper piece might be a Brewerton side notch, or maybe a Palmer.JMHO. Thanks for the view.

Side notch or corner notch? my side notches dont really look like this. at least not the ones from this site

The book "Stone age spear and arrow points of the midcontinental and eastern united states" by Noel d. Justice, does a good job describing the difference between a Brewerton corner or side notch. Basically, if I remember correctly, a side notch is just a resharpened corner notch.
