Found these few pieces and a bunch flakes washed out of our four-wheeler/RC track. Finally got a little rain a few days ago. The last few pics are of a gift I made for a friend. The serrated Dalton was made by a guy in Texas with some Texas flint. The antler was from a shed we found last year. Thanks for looking.

Thanks for the kind words folks.

DigIron, I believe it is a hafted scraper. Although I can make a decent point, this point was made by a guy in Texas. I'm not that good at serrations yet.

I bet the skill takes a "whole" lott of practice and patient's.Even a basic point must take a long time to get the hang of.Might give it a try one of these days. The point and scraper you found are sugar quartz aren't they?

Nice finds and a cool looking knife. That's something on my to do list one day is to try and make a few knives like that. Just to many hobbies already and not enough time.

Both pieces are Quartzite, some people call it sugar quartz. Basic knapping is not that difficult, I started with a heavy quartzite cobble and some thick glass I found in the creek. Get some hand and eye protection and give it a try.
