Man I'm glad fields are back! I got out Monday to hit the field again that I detected Sunday and got the LC and Indians. Like I said before, this field wasn't even given a priority, but my new fields weren't ready. I decided to go with the corn rows instead against to cover what I missed. First keeper was a trashed 1877cc Seated dime. This was in a fire or coated with something that is the devil. I spend hours and hours using electrolysis to get it to way it is now. Next couple of targets was the large musketball and crushed Eagle button. Last keeper of the day was a smoked Copper(#19), its at least 1830s so who knows.
Today I checked some of last years fields and two was harvested. The first one I went to, I had hit last year and spent a lot of time there and only found a nice floral flat button. After spending about an hour there I snagged the 1844 LC(#20). It was near farther away from the iron field that I probably didn't make it that far last year.
The second field of the day was beans that was harvested enough to get coverage of the home site. Last year I pulled a bunch of Indians and a seated dime from here, so I was expecting too much. Well, the first keeper was found about 2 mins into the hunt. A nice 1876cc Seated dime was about 2 feet from where I found the seated there last year
. Soon after that finds were pouring in. I couldn't believe all that was missed last year, especially since he didn't plow at all. I ended with 2 fatty indians (1859 & 1862) plus a 1864 regular indian. I also got a 1866 Shield Nickel and 4 or 5 busted up Eagle buttons. That also puts me at 10 Seated coins for the year!!
Video will be posted later.
