Hi everyone,I reached my fifty silver coin milestone this weekend!!#49 came fri. evening at my "new" old fairground,a 1914 barber dime in what I consider AU condition.
#50 came sat. afternoon, went to an old high school and came up with this 1945 walker in an area that had been done quickly by my dad the previous weekend he took a merc and two silver washington quarters and some wheaties when he did it and my first detection in this area was this half and only two other coins being mem. pennies.
#51 came sun. morning on a beach on an uninhabited island off the coast, a 1964 rosie,of coarse black from salt water.
Also found while on the island was this 1867 two cent piece in the woods,in deep and in heavily corroded condition.
This is the third one of these I have found and also the worst one.I also found these five indian heads in highly corroded condition. The sad fact is that I'll probably just clean the date area to look for a key one but this is how they almost always look around here.
I also found this badge with an old clipper ship on it and I don't know if this is a cuff link or a tie clip OR an old stud earring but it has a stone that appears to be a diamond but I'm assuming its not because of the metal which appears to be silver plated copper.Well, it was a fun weekend and I am now up to 51 silver coins for the year,a personal best and I also tied my old record of three silver halves in one year so I'm pumped!!! Thanks for reading and HH, Bootstrap
