This time of the year is rather poor for recent loss finds at my favorite beach. I discovered an out of the way part of the beach near home with a small berm built up. Last year I already found out that some interesting finds could be located right where the surf erodes away the sand at the start of the berm. Mostly clad and a few knives and miscellaneous then.
This year I extended my search a little more north. WAAHOO...a buffalo nickle staring back at me from the sand. a SURFACE find! That made me slow down and search a little more carefully.
That resulted in finding rings and more rings. Over about a months time I had 7 Silver and 1 unknown gold colored but no Gold.
Finally the 14K Gold with Emerald colored jewel showed up in my scoop. I knew it was just a matter of time. Patience and Peristence.
