It has been about a year since I posted since I haven’t been out detecting lately. Today I decided to go for a low tide beach hunt. I have detected this place quite a few times with some decent luck. I thought I had cleaned this place as far as iron/junk goes, boy was I wrong. I was using my new Equinox and every time I swung it all I heard was a machine gun of nulling (sp?). There were bad targets everywhere, more than enough to make me quick right from the start. Too bad I’m stubborn sometimes and I’m very glad I stuck it out. I detected for 5 hours non stop and this is the end result, one 18k ring, 14k ring, sterling ring and a small piece of ring that might be gold. HH and good luck to you all.

Very productive hunt! The clad alone made it worth the trip. The rings though, geesh! You had a great day where i am from!

The Nox is awesome in the iron, isn't it? :icon_thumleft:

It isn’t always this good here either. Last time I had this many good targets was a year ago. I hunted 5 times last month and only had about $6 dollars in clad combined. There was a lot of sand movement and I got there at the right time. HH

It sure is awesome but I have no idea how people can hunt in those iron infested sites. I had to sort of guess on what to dig since none of the occasional were repeatable. This was my 5th time out with the NOX so hopefully with time I will be able to decipher what it’s trying to tell me. I see you’re in San Diego, I’m located North if LA. HH
