They are surface finds. I get permission from ranchers and hunt the hills and sagebrush flats.
I really haven't found any artifacts in any farm ground except I did find the metal trade point at the edge of a field, below a large bluff.

Thanks Steve! It was good to finally get out for a stroll, but I paid for it after I got home. Once I sat down, it was a real bummer to get up and walk.
