We returned to the Ghost Town (1880s-1920s) where we had found quite a few good coins and other relics. We were working a section that had been disturbed by recent tractor work.. The ground was super packed for a road and the targets past 5 inches were almost impossible to retrieve.. Luckily I got a 60s signal at almost the surface..

I called Silverfiend over and flicked it out.. To be honest at first we weren't sure it was real.. He thought as did I, that it was plated.. Once it came out.. That changed my mind..

The cool part of the find was it was personalized...

I was hoping it was before 1900 but with the karat mark it's not..

Good find. I bet it made your day. Congrats and HH

Awesome old gold!, that's a great find!

Thanks guys.. Yeah definitely made my day!

ACTUALLY - with that K mark - it probably is pre 1900s
I have found many rings from late 1800s stamped like that - and early 1900s
put it this way - Im willing to bet its over 100 yrs old
Nice find!

PLACES I HIT - I GET ALOT OF OLD - OLDER GOLD
WHEN I SEE THE k STAMP INSIDE A BOX LIKE THAT WHERE THE 10K -14K-18K IS RAISED INSTEAD OF STAMPED INTO THE RING LIKE THEY DO NOW
I KNOW I GOT AN OLDIE - KEEP IT UP:thumbsup:

Nice old signet ring a very nice recovery.

What a beauty! From what I understand, just because it was made law in the early 1900s to put the karat on the ring, that doesn't mean no one did it prior.

I refuse to like this thread only because you were too fast for me to steal it from you! LOL. I'm tellin ya, that monogram means it's Mine! HAHA. I'm about to steal a excavator and have fun in that field!
