FINALLY GOT ONE!

Okay, I have been getting frustrated with my coin collecting. However, today, that luck finally turned around.



My first silver nickel.

I also found a Kennedy half-dollar, 1966. 40% silver.

Believe it or not, both were bought at a thrift store.

I'm still an amateur when it comes to coin collecting. I think because so little was made with silver content, and so many is being taken out of circulation, that finding one is very difficult.

That's my guess why.

So is there a certain year coins to look for?

Yes. For example, nickels made between 1942 and 1945 Have silver content in them.

Cause they have value so anyone finds them they keep them pre 64 domes quarters halves dollars worth 10 times face for melt not taking into account key date older silver you should look at the coin roll hunting forum lots of people do it but there not easy to find but some do well check the forum out to get and idea of how they do. For quarters, and dimes, I think the year is 1964 or earlier.

Besides the silver content the old coins are made beautiful them you get addicted to trying to find the really old ones and my coin dealer said keep all pennies 1982 and earlier that are all copper and he believes copper will skyrocket one day

Sober coins have value depends on a lot of things . Besides silver content they are just beautifully made and then you get addicted to trying to find the really old ones . Keep pennies 1982 and earlier my coin guy suspects copper will skyrocket one of these days here is a beauty so you can see how beautiful they are
