Finally got Seated!!!!! Epic day for me 🙏🏻

Woke up at 5am and took that ride to New Orleans. Went to the park and chose a different spot which produced all bottle tops. So I was changing locations, feeling already disgusted I was gonna just turn my detector off and go to the truck, but I didn’t and I glad I didn’t. My truck was parked by a tree that I had once found a deep wheatie so I started swinging. I turned on a coin setting I have saved and dropped my disc down to 1 and the coins started coming. Started getting deep wheatie’s from the 1920’s, a Buffalo, then a V nickel....oh boy they’re getting older and better and then it happened. A choppy signal with a high pitched 30-32 showing up every know and then, but it was showing 8”+, so no brainer in my book. 9” down I saw this beautiful silver on edge, so I picked it out the grown “ONE Dime” up...Barber or Seated, Barber or Seated...SEATED!!!! 4 1/2 years I’d been waiting for this moment. 1891 O Seated Dime unbelievable feeling! I had to go because of work, but lord only knows I’ll be back.

Congrats on the Seated. I have only dug two in all my years detecting.

I went back to did ok, but the earliest coins I ever found at this park was 1898 but most oldest ones are 1900-1906 (lots of V nickels) so I’m extra lucky to have found a 1891 and Seated period for that matter. Hear members say they have found one yet in 10yrs or the few, like you, who found 1 or 2 in lord bows how long truly humbles me to have got a shot at one. Thanks Steve.

first one's always special now....you have a 3000 acre park and a machine that goes where they hide now go find the quarter and half they are there somewhere ...once you find one seated you just have to find more...you will.....

Congratulations, Truth, on an amazing find. I'm still looking for my first seated coin but with the way my luck has been going this year, it may not be too long before I get one.
