Finally got some halves

FINALLY got a box of halves today, but it wasn't much to talk about. There was an odor about it from the minute I saw it. Just a few NIFC. I guess I filled some holes in my book, so I'll take it. One of the 2007Ds is not in collectible condition, so back it goes.

FWIW, I had about 20 boxes in a row that smelled just like yours. It got VERY depressing every week, to say the least.

FWIW, I had about 20 boxes in a row that smelled just like yours. It got VERY depressing every week, to say the least.

It got better eventually, right? With as difficult as it is for me to acquire boxes of halves, it'll take me a year to get through 20 at this rate. So far I'm 0/4 on boxes, all my silver halves have come from small quantities of rolls or loose halves that banks have had. I'm worried that I'm pulling from a very small pool of half dollars - one of the ones in this box was a holed '74 that I'm sure I've seen before.
