Finally got started

I have read this forum for about 6 months, and yesterday I finally started the hunt!!! I went to about 7 banks on the quest for half dollars and only found 2 from the tellers drawer? The last bank I stopped at the teller stated that she had about 9 rolls in the vault. "I'll take em" went to the car and couldn't wait to open them!!! NOTHING, zero, zilch!!!
The day wasn't a total bust though, on the way out of the grocery store credit union I checked the Coinstar machine and found a 1947 dime, and a 1953 dime in the return tray... Needless to say I'm hooked!!!

It is addicting that's for sure!! Great score in the coinstar rejection tray, you would be surprised how many people don't even look after they are done even though the screen tells you to check!! If you keep striking out looking for customer rolled halves, order a box from your bank at least then you can do some hunting. Best of luck to you!

I've been doing so poorly on cold calling banks that I might just be better off doing coinstar reject trays. How about that, a road trip just to visit grocery stores and drugstores to check coinstar reject tray's..... LOL
