Finding Sites in Rural Fields

Here’s a tip for finding old house sites. Yesterday afternoon as the sun was getting low I drove to town. I went by one of my permissions. I was on a north-south road. It was beans that had been picked and then they ran a chisel plow over it. We had an inch of rain the day before I drove by. With the sun at a low angle I could see all the pieces of broken glass shining bright. It was very obvious where an old house sat.
