Nothing major here. Just figured I'd post it. These are finds from a late 1700's home that I have permission to hunt.
I originally got permission this past summer, and hit it once for about 4 hours, pulling only 1 silver Washington. Then I returned yesterday and asked if it was still OK, and he said "sure", so I hit it for about 2 hours yesterday, and found a 1907 Injun, and a military button. Then I returned today, and found 3 other items of interest, a 34 Buffalo, an antique silver cover from a locket or something, and this nameplate thing with a D on it . It's curved, not sure what it's from. And I dug up TONS of garbage.
I kinda had high expectations at this particular house, and I'm kinda suprized I haven't found anything better. The landowner said his father metal detected the place like 20 yrs. ago, but he didn't know any details of what he found, what kind of machine he used, or whether or not he was serious about detecting.
But he sure must have cherry picked the silver!
This guy is one of those DREAM landowners, he just says "take everything".
Anyway, Thanks for lookin".
You know I'm gonna try my best to get a silver coin before we get snow again.
