I finally got out after purchasing some new gear to replace damaged stuff from last season. Dives 1 & 2 produced some unusual finds in that I got an 1875 Seated Liberty Quarter in great shape, 2 IH pennies dated 1860 (fatty) and 1907. I also dug up a Federal Eagle Infantry coat buttom with some gilt left on it and a backmark for D. Evans of Attleboro Mass.

Dives 3 & 4 prodeced an umbrella inkwell and some more clay pipe bowls.

Hello river,

Nice recoveries, sir. I wanna see that umbrella & those pipes, all up close & personal, if you're so inclined, please. Is that a Moxie?

Hey Matt,

Thank you for the additional well detailed photos. The pipes are killer. Is the orange one impressed "Bourne"?

The aqua umbrella, I was initially thinking, was pontiled, though now I think it just missed. Is it too late for another photo or three of the owly guy?

I'd wave a flipper at you, but I don't have one, so consider this a major wave of the spade!

Owl guy and pipes for last 2 years.

Hey Surf,

Happy New Year to you!

I was back checking old posts when I realized you asked for some close ups...

Amazing. You found a great place to hunt.

Hey Matt,

Happy New Year to you, too, man. Thanks for revisiting this one, and posting more great photos. Those pipes are superb. The reed stem model on the right looks like a Pamplin, or Point Pleasant, maybe a Merrill…

You're very welcome Surf, I enjoy your knowledge on all things I find diving. I have several hundred pipes and stems and would be happy to digitize them if you are interested. My marble collection however got bought this past fall by forum member "idigjars" as did some of the civil war buttons I found in 2013.

Very cool finds, nice work in how you recover them.

Hey Matt,

Consider me most interested. An epic pipe thread would be just the ticket for my mid-winter blues. If you supply the images, count on me for plenty of "Oohs & Aahs!"
