Got out this morning for 3 hours with my buddy Kevin and hunted an older school . Last week it gave up a nice silver ring so I was hoping for gold this time . The gold didn't happen but a BIG silver surprise did
The first good find was a chunky 925 silver ring with an aquamarine stone . Then I found a junk ring after that , bring my ring total to #46 for the year . Then it happened
. I had a +77 , +80 VDI on my MXT PRO at two inches . I was thinking dime or penny . Well I was half right , it was 4 zinc pennies on top of a silver 1964 Kennedy half dollar ! It's my first big silver coin of 2013 and only the 2nd 1964 Kennedy I have found in 16 years ! The other good finds were two wheats , 1937 & 1954D . Also found a Mexican and Canadian coin . I hope it's only the first and not the last of the year
. Total clad was $22 .18 for the weekend .
