I'm starting to get the hang of my new mxt! Found my first Buffalo nick today in front of an old church c1880. It looks pretty rough on the front but I can make out the 29 on the date. Any one have advice for cleaning it up, or is this as good as it gets? :icon_pirat:

Nice!! It looks like you got that MXT setup just right to find some GOLD. That is just the way it goes with old nickles, gotta love that rusty patina. Good Luck and HH.

This is gonna sound stupid, but it works. Stick it in a Potatoe and leave it for a few hours. It will clean up, but won't be shiny like a new Nickle. Might need to experiment with it for a while. Tim

Nice job on the Buff!!

I use a 50/50 solution of lime away and water. Just stick it in and rub it from time to time. Keep an eye on it as you don't want the copper to start showing through.
