Hello everyone,

This is my first post on the forum after looking into CRHing for a little while. I started my first search yesterday.

I hit some banks in my local area since I had the afternoon off of work. I searched through about $300 worth of halves and got skunked.

One of the banks had $40 in Eisenhower dollars, so I bought those. There were two full rolls. One roll was all 1978's and the other was all 1776-1976 bicentennials. Does anyone know if these are worth anything?

Any information would help, thanks a lot!

I know some people sell them to coin shops for $1.25 apiece or on feeBay they bring a pretty good fee. Just remember to factor in the shipping charges + the fees

As noted, some coin shops will buy them for more than face value.

I don't run into them often, but I like to spend them if I do.

Cool, thanks for all of the information. I am really looking forward to my first silver find!

One thing I forgot to mention was that I did make 2 cents on the day. When I dumped my halves the machine said I had $30.02 when I only put in $30 in loose halves. So it wasnt a total loss, lol.
