ACE 250, AT PRO, XP DEUS,CTX 3030
Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
Only had about an hour and a half, found some interesting things. The old tractor is metal and says Massey Harris on the side. The RR medallion came up 80 on the AT Pro, no markings on the jewelry and the smallest button I've ever seen....

Cool finds, I love the 5x8 coil. HH!

Nice finds, like that tractor.

How would you describe the difference between the stock coil and the 5x8, in terms of signals, depth, etc? Great finds!

Stock Coil= Finds
5x8 Coil = More Finds

Really thou, I never saw a difference in Depth from either coil.

I can tell you the small coil will find a small button around 10" with a solid VDI....which is plenty deep for me in hard Texas Clay

With the 5 x 8 the detector just feels more balanced to me. I haven't really noticed a difference in the signals. The coverage area is smaller. I still like the 5 x 8 on the machine better than the bigger coil.

I've only had it a few days but right off the bat, the weight and balance is much much better,I can swing this all day, i haven't noticed any difference in depth, i found a dime today at 9" with no problem. I need more hunts with it to get a better idea and feel, It def. pinpoints much better than the stock and i'm finding more interesting things. I have no complaints so far... Very happy with it.

I'm sold! Ordered the small coil today. Thanks- and sorry if I've hijacked this thread!

Haha, not a problem, you won't be disappointed. The one reason I got the 5x8 is because i'm a city boy, there's not to many places to hunt so i spend a lot of time in parks that are filled with trash! The 5x8 is excellent at picking through that stuff. Not to mention it's much easier to swing. Let us know what you think after you pick one up...

That exact toy tractor was my first find in my back yard. It was made in Lensey, England from 1956-1960. An earlier version was produced 1954 that had rear wheel wells. He're a link to the thread where I posted a picture of my tractor.

my first treasure.
