I was hunting in the sand with my new Garrett 350 & had to get off the beach because it was getting dark & it was closing. I drove down to a second beach before it got too dark to see. After 15 minutes or so, I had a nice nickel signal. Up popped something in my scoop with a double band, so I thought it might be a key ring.
I was very surprised to find this ring at closer inspection! When I got it into the car shortly after, the diamond was looking real & I saw the 14k marks on the inside!
I have been trying to find the owner for over a month, and I may be putting this in the keeper pile, or sell it & pay for the Garrett i just bought. It is 4.3 grams of 14k white gold with a 1/2 carat diamond, which was described as "colorless" and very high quality by my local jeweler. I had the ring cleaned & gold buffed out - it is like new! Nothing like finding gold, and diamond!
