First embossed ink.

[RelicDude]

So today down at the ink hole was a lot of digging but not much for finds. 1I did find my first embossed ink a Stafford's ink in a nice teal color. Along with the foreign mineral water bitters bottle. It has a nice applied lip though. My favorite has to be the pipe bowl I just wish they would come out of the ground whole. Not a bad dig though. Thanks for looking.- Justin

Nice.

I like that pipe! I saw that same bitters for $20 at the flea market, and I've never seen one that didn't have some nice whittling. I have a similar Stafford's:

That a nice ink. I really like these. I usually just find unembossed ones in this form. The photo does the teal color no justice. Your right though all of these bitters bottles do have a nice whittle. I just wish it was American.

The Saxlehner's isn't a bitters, it's a mineral water, nice finds

Cool finds, I was lucky to find a whole pipe like yours!! Inks are some of my favorites!

The ink is a nice find!

The bitterquelle is often offered for sale as a bitters bottle; but, as epackage points out, it is a cathartic mineral water. These are very common, though they make great window bottles.

Awesome advertisement Harry. It's the word bitterquelle that throws it off to being a bitters when it's not. What country do these bottles come from?
