Went to a park yesterday and did some clad digging . Didnt feel like door knocking or fighting the ticks around cellar holes . Dug around 2.50 in clad and a couple of odds and ends . But the highlight of my day was pulling my first silver ever from this park . I have been there probably 10 times in the last two years and have pulled over $125 dollars in clad but have never found silver . So I was pleasently surprised when a 63 Rosie showed up yesterday . Followed by a 1929 buff and a trashed wheat . But the find of the day for me was my first OD nickel . The only one I have dug in 2 yrs of detecting . Not a capped bust or a old copper but one off my bucket list

I like the Buff.. tells me there is some older stuff there!!

Nice finds, the buffalo looks good! I've never managed to detect a war nickel, always considered it strange. Pulled them from change and sifted them, but for whatever reason they avoid my coil.

Lol sorry its kind of an inside joke that all new members wonder about and are welcome to get in on . Old Dude (OD) has made it very well known and an ongoing thing that he has never pulled a silver war nickel out of the ground .Even when those hunting around him find them all the time . So it has been proclaimed from the rooftops that forever more the silver war nickel will be known as an OD nickel

And THAT is club culture for ya. Love it. :) Thanks for the explanation!
