First Field Hunt...First Target!!!

I just had to share this now. In the fields for the first time this season after a long cold winter...

Literally the first field target of the year! 1900 Barber Half! My second US half dollar which is great considering I am in Nova Scotia, Canada!

Hoping to find a lot more today to post but if not I'm calling this hunt a success!

Ok...moving on to the next site...managed three buttons (one looks like it may be an early worn military), some lead and the piece with the letters...no idea what it is...it may be lead but I'm not even sure of that...

I almost didn't find it...I got the car stuck driving into the site and had to back out and park well away from my usual parking spot. While walking in I decided to hunt the field beside the road which had not been hunted before...that's where I found the half!
